What is an SSL Certificate?

An SSL Certificate is used to verify that data sent from the user to your server is secure and private.  Certificates are issued by certificate authorities that validate that the data has been encrypted using the public key system.  Dotology has partnered with two certificate authorities, Comodo and Geotrust to offer SSL certificates.
