How do I configure an addon domain?

Adding a domain name to your Dotology Hosting plan is easy whether your domain name is registered with Dotology or not. Just make sure the name servers have been updated to ns1.dotology.net and ns2.dotology.net before following these steps.

  1. Log into your Dotology Dashboard
  2. Log into your Dotology Hosting Console
  3. Click the “Addon Domains” icon in the Domains section
  4. Enter the domain name you wish to add in the New Domain Name field
  5. Choose an FTP Username and Password. If all of the FTP accounts included in your Dotology Hosting plan are utilized you’ll have to delete one before continuing
  6. Choose a Document Root location. This is where you will upload files for your website. By default the root is public_html/<addondomain.tld>. You may change this to any directory
  7. Click “Add Domain” to complete the configuration
